Learning to play the game of golf can be a rewarding but sometimes very
frustrating and humiliating experience.

My featured song "Golfing Is My Game" is a novelty song about a duffer who
discovers his fantasy alter-ego named "Parnold Allmer" while learning to play the
game of golf.

After I retired I took a part-time job mowing the rough at a local golf course so
that I could get free golfing privileges and finally learn to play the game well after
being a duffer my whole life.  With all the free golf, a few lessons and hitting a lot
of practice balls at the driving range I still struggled to shoot in the low 90’s
consistently. Then I heard about the "Heard Super Swing" and after only two
buckets of balls at the driving range and a few 9-hole practice rounds of golf I
shot a four over par using this technique.  Now it's not a crap-shoot everytime I
swing and for the first time in my life I feel like I own my swing.  The promise of
the Heard Super Swing is that "you will hit more powerful shots and you will hit
them straighter.....a
lot straiter."
Other songs of special interest are "Pocket Full Of Poo" about a country
plow-boy who dreams of the day he has enough money to live in style.
"Happiness For Sale" is a humorous song about suburban living while "Old
Gloomy River" is a parody about a poor delta share-cropper who loses his
farm in a flood and survives by climbing to the top of his windmill.
" I Come From Ol' Virginny" is a novelty sing-a-long folk song that our mother
taught us kids when we were toddlers and became a strong influence in my
songwriting style.
